RealityWorks offers a simple solution to revolutionise the traditional automotive design work strem. Carefully selected features and functions provide an intuituve destionation work space that steamlines the design process and aid commuication between designers, modellers and engineers.

Sketch

This tool allows you to draw freely in 3D space. You are constrained by nothing but the movement of your hand. Use this tool to input the makeup of 3D ideas and forms. This tool has a number of functions that make it intuitive to use and easy to begin developing  sketch lines within all 3 dimensions to develop a visualise a 3D form. All of the functions listed below work hand in hand with one another.

Pick up and Move

Move sketches, circles, measurements and splines freely in space and across all axis by simply picking them up with a controller and placing it elsewhere. This allows for easy itterations, tweaks and revised placements of drawings to achieve the perfect desired design.

Scale

The following is placeholder text known as “lorem ipsum,” which is scrambled Latin used by designers to mimic real copy. Sed a ligula quis sapien lacinia egestas. Nulla lectus ante, consequat et ex eget, feugiat tincidunt metus.

Duplicate

Easy replicate sketches to achieve consistency on design language, or to build parts that need to be reproduced around a vehicle.

Group

Collate sketches to form the basis for specific vehicle parts or key lines to work in tandem.

Circle

This tool provides a perfect sketch circle on created on a plane, but entirely moveable in free 3D space. Similarly to sketch lines, circles can  be moved, scaled, duplicated and grouped to achieve consistency within a drawing and provide additional visual weight to a concept.

Spline

This tool provides a data line controlled from four points that can be overlaid across initial sketch ideas. Spline line data can be exported from RealityWorks as a STEP file to form the basis of an initial 3D model in a relevant CAD programme.

Measure

This tool allows the sketcher to develop a drawing to real world scale. Use the measure tool as a base reference to begin a drawing, or to ensure additional sketch features are proportionate to the required size of a model.
